Using a variety of paints and minerals, I’ve attempted to simulate labradorite and sea ice. In 2016, en route to visit a geologist in Newfoundland, our plane made several landing attempts. The shearing high winds at St. John’s airport were too strong and we eventually diverted to Gander to refuel and try again. Three days later, a car was blown off the nearby cliff at Signal Hill. This painting is my attempt to convey the beauty of The Rock (Newfoundland) and the joy of successfully landing on it. FREE DELIVERY throughout Canada.
